From July 25 to 28, 2024, Consul General Jacques Himford and his delegation visited the Gufeng Museum, Guilin Chinese Culture Promotion Association and Anshida New Energy Company in Guilin, Guangxi.

During the visit to Anshida New Energy Company, Consul General Jacques Himford said that new energy, as one of the main development energy sources in the future, has a good development prospect. He hopes that Vanuatu can also introduce advanced new energy technology, make good use of local natural resources, and promote the improvement and upgrading of local energy technology.

Consul General Jacques Himford also visited the Gufeng Museum and the Guilin Chinese Culture Promotion Association for friendly exchanges. Famous calligraphers and artists in Guangxi presented Consul General Wu Zhijia with folding fans and calligraphy with strong Chinese cultural characteristics.

Consul General Jacques Himford said that Chinese culture has a long history. Guangxi, as China's leading tourist area, has a strong historical and cultural style. He hopes that the two sides can strengthen cultural exchanges in the future, promote cultural integration and innovation, and enable people in both places to appreciate different cultural styles.
