On August 1, 2024, Consul General Jacques Himford met with Ling Fengping, Director of Yangjiang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Ye Na, Deputy Director, and Chen Qiqian from the office.

The purpose of this visit was to invite Consul General Jacques Himford to attend the 23rd Yangjiang Knife Fair and discuss related matters.

Consul General Jacques Himford said that knives, as one of the characteristics of Yangjiang, contain a strong regional history and culture, and this knife fair is also full of the charm of Chinese culture. It is hoped that in the future, such cultural exchanges and communication between the two places can be strengthened to promote the innovation and integration of the two cultures and enable the people of both sides to have a deeper understanding of each other's culture.
