On July 29, 2024, Consul General Jacques Himford visited the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Exhibition Hall and Mingyang Group in Zhongshan City with the Consulate General in Guangzhou.

Under the explanation of the guide in the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Exhibition Hall, Consul General Jacques Himford learned that the establishment and opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link promoted the integrated development of the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

During the visit to Mingyang Group, the guide introduced the main industrial layouts such as wind power and new energy power generation to the Consulate General in Guangzhou.

Consul General Jacques Himford said that this visit made him realize the current technological level of the new energy industry. He hopes that in the future Vanuatu will also be able to make good use of local natural resources, develop new energy industries, promote the transformation and upgrading of local production capacity industries, and effectively protect the local environment.
