On March 26, 2024, the Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu held a dinner to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vanuatu. Vanuatu President Vurobalavu, Prime Minister Salwai, former Prime Minister Natuman, Mrs. Lini (the widow of the first prime minister) and others were invited by Ambassador Li Minggang to attend.

 

 

 

      President Wu said that the friendship between Vanuatu and China is no longer limited to economic cooperation, but has become a symbol of the long-term solidarity and friendship between the two peoples. The potential for future cooperation between Vanuatu and China is huge, and Vanuatu will continue to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields to benefit the people of both countries.

  

 

 

      Ambassador Li said that over the past 42 years, China-Vanuatu relations have maintained healthy and stable development on the basis of the one-China principle, and have become a model of mutual respect, solidarity and cooperation among developing countries. China will follow the guidance of the "four full respects" proposed by President Xi Jinping to promote the bilateral relations to better play a model role.
