On February 23, 2024, Consul General Jacques Himford met with President Jiang Hong and Secretary-General Zhang Huiquan of Guangzhou President Chamber of Commerce, and the two sides had in-depth discussions on specific investment matters in Vanuatu.

During the talks, the Consul General introduced the investment environment and policy advantages of the Republic of Vanuatu in detail, and expressed his willingness to provide necessary support and assistance to Chairman Jiang. Chairman Jiang said that she would send a professional team to Vanuatu for a field visit and cooperate with local governments and enterprises.

The two sides also discussed the future direction of cooperation, including cooperation plans in the fields of infrastructure construction, offshore finance, education and training. Both sides agreed that through field investment, the complementary and win-win situation of the two economies can be promoted, bringing more benefits to the people of the two countries.

The talks ended in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere.
